De La Salle top the table after Fleetwood slipped up at Hawcoat Park

The now league leaders Della, take the very short trip across to Sale to take on newly promoted Trafford MV, who have so far failed to make too big an impression on the NLC league with just 2 wins from 8 games. They go into this weekends fixture on the back of a 5 match losing streak against a side that has only notched a single loss. Given form and experience, it's hard not to look past De La Salle this weekend and wonder if this could possibly be the year that they claim the title?

Former league leaders Fleetwood, who slipped into second after a loss at Hawcoat Park, host Bolton who sit relatively comfortably in 5th place with a game in hand. Bolton are continuing to adjust this season under new head coach Dave Crouch but welcome back an old face in this weekends rumoured team sheet. Bolton finally broke their duck on the road at Aldwinians, but this will be a much tougher ask. Historically, Bolton have had the upper hand over the seasiders, however Fleetwoods strong start and Bolton's poor form away from home may prove the difference this time around. Only time will tell.

Littleborough travel to Aldwinians on the hunt for their 3rd win on the bounce to help separate themselves from the bottom 5 which includes their opponents. Aldwinians lie in 11th place on the same points as Upper Eden who pulled off a shock win against Aspatria on Saturday. They have another tough day ahead with an away trip to Hawcoat Park who have improved significantly on their performance last season that almost saw them relegated.

Game of the week goes to Aspatria Vs Wigton at Bower Park. The two local rivals come together for the first time this season in a game that could potentially go either way. Wigton's squad has been strengthened this season with a handful of new players, whilst Aspatria seem to get stronger as the season goes on, barring a speedbump in Kirkby Stephen. All eyes will be peeled for this result.

Carlisle host Oldham and will be looking to close the gap at the top and build on the 2 point advantage they have over 4th place. Oldham on the other hand, started their season very well but have let slip in recent weeks with the 25-12 loss at Littleborough being of particular shock. If they are still fielding the side they finished with last season, it's hard to understand that result.

Finally, Workington play host to Silloth in the hope that they can finally overcome their 5 point deduction and move off the bottom of the table against a team who have lost 8 from 8 and conceded over 400 points.
