Eccles greeted us with 13 players and no ref, so we called upon Andrew Hill to ref, and a big thanks to him for looking after the game, we travelled with 15 players so we lent a player and played a game of 14 a side. Thanks to John Hill who played for Eccles and had a great game.
Our forwards began strongly again, pushing the game, after some great handwork Chris Sinker powered his way over for his first try of 2, soon followed by Cameron getting the 2nd for Bolton.
The weather conditions were getting bad in the second half but the lads battered on, Louis T went for a great try within minutes of the second half, but was disallowed as just held up, then the team were lifted by Jack R and a fantastic try from a tap penalty, and Cameron had his first kick of this season which got us points, then came the try of the game, with a very strong scrum held when Jack fed Chris who powered his way to the line and went under the sticks for our try, again a new kicker step forward and Will did us proud.
A big well done to the lads for picking themselves up from a shocking defeat last week, and remembering to keep up your spirits, and we had a fantastic game this week.
final score Bolton 24 Eccles 0
