Bolton u13's 35 v Trafford MV u13's 15

Missing players - no one told the others!
Bolton were missing some key players and 2 more fell ill overnight but 1 minute, 1 try. (Louie Ramm). Trafford then scored twice thru' excellent back play, so after 8 minutes it's 1-2 and it stayed that way until half time in a pretty even half. Put simply our forwards were better than theirs whist their backs were better than ours.
The second half saw Henry Ainscough cross to make it 2-2, only for Trafford to reply, again thru' the backs. Henry then made it 3-3. The shackles then came off as injuries and possibly fatigue set in as Trafford were left with no subs. Louie added another and then Daniel drove over ably supported by new player Alberto. With many players having to improvise superb covering by Jack Good and Vernon Baxter kept Trafford at bay and in the single best play of the match Harry Connor caught a Trafford kick and returned it with interest, to make it 6-3. Loiue was obviously miffed to only be joint top try scorer, so in another trademark run dragged numerous defenders, a couple of teamates and quite probably the ref to make it 7-3. Superb, but Henry was still voted MOM.
Our forwards were better, their backs were better but in our lads defence it was a cobbled together back line - Fafa is not our regular full back, nor Louie a centre!
Since the match we have found out one of their players suffered a broken arm, we wish him a speedy recovery.
