A story of a leaky defence…..
The under 9’s stood toe to toe against Tyldsley on a foggy morning at Avenue street.
An evenly matched game throughout saw Bolton lose by one single point 11-10 .Bolton got on the score sheet first with a Scything run by Drew Armistead. Unfortunately Boltons leaky defence failed to stop the opposition as they quickly replied with a try of there own. This was to be the story of the game, with both teams matching each other try by try.
Tries came from Drew Armistead and Callum Purnell who showed no mercy against a leaky Tyldelsey defence.
Some good running from Elliott Whittle, Joe Robinson, Matthew Phillips and Luke Parry making good ground for the home side.
Try of the match came from Luke Parry, who showed great grit and determination to defy his slender frame and force the ball over the line, with a Tyldesley player hanging off him!!
This earned him man of the match this week.
