Bolton under 10's travelled to local rivals Bury after last weeks draw against Tyldesley.

They had nine players available so no substitutes were available for any injuries.

Alex Ramwell was captain for the week after last weeks tremendous performance with Matthew Moore, James Preston and James
Entwistle shoring up the scrum.

Milo Holmes played scrum half with Ben Turner directing matters at number 10.

Zak and Josh Grundy, Alex Ramwell and Harry Jackson completed the team in the backs.

Bury had some big players in their team so the tactics were to keep the ball moving by 'ruck' ball rather than 'mauls'.

Bury started the stronger team and after Bolton missed a couple of tackles they soon opened the scoring with the First try.
Bolton heads didn't go down and the tactics immediately paid off with Zak Grundy scoring after great pressure from the Bolton team.

Bolton began to turn the ball over in the loose and each and every player got involved in the 'rucks'. Brave tackling by Ben bringing down
The big Bury forwards and Great running by Milo and Alex gained valuable yardage up the field.

Bury scored again with Alex leveling the score just before half time.

In the second half the Bolton forwards started to win the majority of scrums after the big Bury props started to tire.

Bolton began to dominate the game and their defence held out keeping the Bury players at bay. Gaps started to appear on the wings which the Bolton players Began to attack and before long Zak had scored his second try.
Milo added another after a great run but it wasn't allowed after he failed to place it over The 'whitewash' properly.
There was no argument from the Bolton players as they returned for the scrum.

Two minutes before the end Milo was compensated for that drop with a great try after Bolton pressure near to the Bury try line.

The whole team played brilliantly each and everyone getting involved, it was hard to pick a 'player of the match' it should have gone to
everyone, but Milo Holmes just pipped it, and got the award.

Moment of the match was after Zak had scored his try, the first person to run up and congratulate him was his twin brother Josh who he had been arguing with In the car all the way to Bury.

Well done Under 10's
