Match Report Under 11's

Bolton under 11’s travelled to Burnley and played a mixed side of Under 10’s and under 11’s from the Brierfield Club.
With only 10 players available this week it was decided to play 10 a side with rolling subs from the Burnley team.
Bolton Team was Lewis Barnes, James Preston and James Entwistle in the front row. Matty Moore and Alex Ramwell played an open role as forwards. Milo Holmes was scrum half with Zak Grundy at stand-off, Ben Turner at inside centre and Olly Crompton at outside centre. Josh Grundy played full back.
Bolton started the stronger of the two teams with more superior rucking which gained them the largest amount of possession.
Soon tries from Alex and Ben turned that possession into points with Zak stepping up to convert those tries. Burnley never gave up though and had some excellent runs at the Bolton try line.
Bolton was the stronger side however throughout the match gaining most possession through the rucks.
Strong tackling from Alex and some good individual runs by James Preston were the highlight of the match with good positional kicking and catching by Zak. One such kick sent Ben Turner down the pitch who outwitted his opponent to score just before the ball bounced dead. Oliver Crompton made some in-roads into the Burnley defence but was unable to score this week.
An excellent game overall but Bolton was just too strong for the home team.
Star of the match went to Zak Grundy.
