Bolton travelled the short distance to Bury where they faced a large Bury squad.
With James Preston and Tom Crook out of action Bolton were only able to field 10 players.
The Bury opposition were head and shoulders above the Bolton players I estimated at least 8 players in their team larger than our biggest player Matthew Moore, which did make a difference.
But not taking it away from Bury they started the game with more vigour and were the better team on the day.
Bolton were just not the same team who played Tyldesley the previous week.
The first half went to Bury who scored 36 points with no reply.
Thanks goes to Tez and Tank from Bury who played for the Bolton team.
After a stern talking too and some team bonding the game turned around for the second half.Alex Ramwell immediately scored which Zak Grundy converted. Then James Entwistle saw the opportunity to score his first try for Bolton and earn himself a new computer game.
Unfortunately Zak couldnt convert it. 36-12
Alex Ramwell was able to score his second try late on in the game which was converted of the cross bar by Zak.
Final score Bury 48 v 19 Bolton.
Performances to note from Oliver Crompton who tackled and ran out of his skin and player of the game went to Milo Holmes who did the equivalent work of 6 players.
Congratulations to James Entwistle who scored his first try for the team in a competitive game
