Emergency Ward 10 for u15s at Eccles

It was more like a clearing station than a rugby changing room at Eccles with three players put out of action for the season.
With stats like that you would expect a dirt game but it was far from it with Wills Brindle being unfortunate in the extreme, Chris Kehoe aggravating the problem in his back and Joey Gore breaking his left arm in a challenge with most of the opposition pack.

Tom Hill really stepped up to the mark and the injuries shouldn't overshadow a sublime performance rewarded with all the Under 15s points from two excellent tries and a conversion. The second try was a master of it's type with a deft chip and regather before storming under the posts. The crowd weren't sure if he had the ball on a string or he had whistled for it to bounce straight into his arms!

Across the pitch some excellent performances should be noted especially from Ciaran Bach and Stefan Austin Griffiths stepping up from the Under 14s. Ryan McClusky caught the eye with surging runs, Tom McCormick was immense as was Will McCambridge. Josh Holmes and Mikey Latham played some lovely rugby in mid field with Firth Lord and Chris Kehoe looking good outside as they shared the outside centre role. David Warren saved a certain try holding an opponent up over the whitewash while at 15 Adam Kazmi ran with guile and determination and defended forcefully; perhaps a little too forcefully on one occasion!

Up from Jordan Ashton as, as always quietly brilliant while Jack O'Kane and Jacob Walker worked hard despite having the main force of the game removed with uncontested scrums. Joseph Partington is coming on in leaps and bounds each week and his contribution to the side should never be underestimated or undervalued.
