Bolton Under 15's entertained Southport in their last league game of the season in a rematch of last years Lancashire Plate final but the travelling players proved too strong for the home side. Southport dominated from the very first whistle and poor tackling by the home side proved to be their downfall. Within 8 minutes Bolton had conceded three early tries which were converted on each occasion. The Bolton side failed to fire on any cylinders. Pick of the first half was James Evans playing at full back who appeared to be the only person on the home team tackling his opposition. Some of his tackles were try scoring opportunities for the away team so James managed to prevent the score being any higher. Abdullah Hussain had a good game at prop forward. Captain Dan Southworth had to leave the field after an eye injury just before half time.
The game was over 10 minutes into the second half when Southport put the score above and beyond Bolton.
Bolton have struggled in Pool A this year in the league but have put up some brave performances against outstanding opposition but this week the team had already decided that the game was lost before kick off. This was the only league game all season where Bolton weren't able to manufacture one scoring opportunity. A poor performance all round. Final score 0 v 30*
Tackler's award Abdullah Hussain
Most contribution and players award James Evans
Apologies for the short match report but to be quite honest there was nothing else worthy of reporting.
