Stockport have an exceptionally strong U15 setup and we were playing a strengthened B team
Bolton started slowly and we took the lead against the run of playing- Richard Gallacher showing superb pace to outflank the defence on either side
This galvanised stockport into a spell of great play- swinging the ball from side to side they rattled up 15 points to lead 15-7 at the break. An Alex Temple solo covering 90 metres nearly finished with a touchdown
In the 2nd half Bolton returned to basics in the forwards. Very gradually we began to dominate the game. Harrison Peak , James Chia, Daniel Doyle and Nathan Stansfield all carrying the ball.
Form a 5 metre scrum Nathan scored to make it 12-15 with 8 minutes left. Bolton upped the effort and the final minutes were a siege on the Stockport line; with Bolton seemingly unable to get a good clean touchdown. A final charge saw Nathan ground the ball with the last play
Final score a 17-15 win.
Commiserations to Harrison Peak who sustained a bad ankle injury in the closing stages- get well, soon
