U15s to strong for Eccles.

Bolton U15s squad could have played the last game of the season and made sure it was a winning game with very strong performance against a tough and determined Eccles side.

The first half was a fractured affair with Eccles taking an unexpected lead, Bolton fired back with great forward play allowing Prop Alex Tonge to crash over for one of his brace of tries in the game.

Scores level the game had a few ill tempered moments but after a half time team talk the Cherry and Whites calmed things down and started to play good aggressive rugby. With the ball in hand and the forwards dominating in the contact area Bolton started to put pressure on the Eccles line. From a good attacking position Number 8 Dylan Heywood picked up from the back of the scrum, drew the defenders and popped a ball to the on rushing flanker Jordan Griffiths to claim his first try of the day. The move could have come straight from the training ground. Bolton endured a sustained Eccles fightback with some great defending and last ditch tackling before securing the victory with another Jordan Grifiths try.

Bolton rang in the changes to the forwards who came on with fresh legs and determination causing Eccles more problems. The game ended with Bolton pressing hard for more points but happy with the 4 tries and 2 conversions from captain and number 10 Jos Winstanley.
