Bolton had Leigh under pressure from the start with Louis Townsend leading the forwards who gave a great display of rucking and mauling. George Smith effectively commanded the backs and some great workgave Jakub Thornley his first try of the season. Bolton completely dominated the first half of the game with superb tacking and driving penning Leigh in their own 22m area. The Leigh coach must have given a great team talk as after half time the visitors came into the game and started to put a little pressure on Bolton and took an opportunity presented after a bad off load from Bolton to score a great try. Jubair Miah came straight back at them and with Will Lomax supporting, Bolton where again in charge. With normal service again resumed and Bolton spending considerable time pinning Leigh in their own half Cameron Barber smashed his way forward and minus his shirt got his best ever try. Bolton’s team proved how passionate and commented they are as this game has to be one for the best performances of late. An excellent game from all those in the red shirts of Bolton Jubiar Miah named as Man of the Match.
