To kick off the 2014 / 2015 season after promotion Bolton travelled to Old Crossleyeans in Halifax to link up with old boy Kev "PC Plod" McGill to give both teams a pre season work out.
Bolton travelled with a development squad to try an take a look at some new faces and indeed some older faces after a well attended pre season which at one stage have over 70 players training in one session.
Old Crocs as they are known in the Yorkshire locality proved wonderful hosts at their excellent and historic ground with the Bolton travelling faithful enjoying some pre, during and post match spirit to while away the hours.
Old Crocs proved too strong on their day with their 8, 9 and 10 combo playing some excellent and controlled rugby, but as usual pre season is not all about the rugby and the day proved a very enjoyable jaunt for all concerned.
With the traditional naked bus called on the way home, a disgruntled South African and a very drunk prop / black cab story to cap the night off it was a good day all round.
Many thanks to Old Crocs for hosting us, being generally good sports and all at Bolton RUFC would like to wish them all the best for the coming season.
