Those who braved the rainy conditions were rewarded with a well-balanced entertaining game of rugby.

The first half was keenly contested and both sides made frequent raids into opposition territory however, both sides were kept at bay and could only rack up points from the boots of their kickers.

Bolton’s points in the first half were scored from two Pritchard penalties.

The second half of the game was much more weighted in Bolton’s favour however, with the forwards stepping it up a notch and pressurising the Hawcoate Park side back towards their own line.

1st team regular Chris Mee utilised his ever strong running to bulldoze his way over the whitewash for a well-deserved try, converted.

A Chris Turner penalty re-injected a bit of life into the last 15 minutes of the game after both sides had started to cancel each other out.

Bolton can take pride in this win as it showed determination and a will to push for the win.
