January has certainly been a fruitful month for Bolton RUFC with 10 wins out of a possible 11 for the Senior teams.

Only the 2nd teams 16-13 loss to De La Salle the only result that didn’t go our way.

Credit to all the players for their hard work in running off the annual Christmas excesses and playing some wonderful rugby in the process. At the Theatre of Trees on Saturday, spectators had the delight of watching both the 1s and 3s backs (and a couple of lost forwards) cutting some fantastic lines and racking up 93 points in the process.

It’s fantastic to see the youngsters of the team developing through the year, benefiting from senior rugby training and game time. I look forward to helping our next round of young guns settle into senior rugby, though myself and Taff are looking for more “front 5” forwards this time around so we can settle back with our pipes and slippers!

Finally credit and thanks is also due to our dedicated team of groundstaff and volunteers at the club who make sure that everything is ready each Saturday and the pitches are in fantastic nick for the time of year.

It’s going to be a great 2018 for the club and to continue this momentum, players, members, friends and family are invited to join us in the club on the 10th February and March 17th to watch England defend the 6 Nations title.
