On Saturday 4th November after the 1XV Local Derby clash vs Eccles, we are going to hold a Whisky tasting fundraiser hosted by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society.
Upon arrival at 7pm you will be given the tasting notes for the evening. Then at 7.15 a steward from the society will give a brief introduction before moving onto the first dram (usually a 50ml measure). Throughout the evening there will be 5 drams to try, all of which are limited edition bottles. Ranging from 8years upwards. There has been a 37year old one in a previous night I’ve attended says Whisky aficionado Louis Critchlow.

The bar will be open throughout the evening and there will also be a supper put on by former player Tom McDonald included in the ticket price.

As part of the fundraiser there will be a raffle with the top prize being a limited edition bottle from the night and also some society tasting glasses up for grabs.

Tickets will cost £35. Places are limited so please get in touch ASAP so you don’t miss out.
