Good news - at least the rain held off while the game was played

Given the conditions, this was never going to be an expansive, free flowing game. It got well and truly bogged down midfield for most of the game.
After an extended mifield tussle, eventually C&N concede a penalty which Joe Harte pops over, 3 - 0.

And so it remained at half time.
Once again the game got stuck in the middle, with both teams failing to make much progress. Then , surprisingly, Bolton strung together several good phases of possession and Harte slips thru a gap and with one man to beat feeds Jack Crompton who finished it off under the posts, 10 - 7.
