Fleetwood Win With Narrow Margin

From the start the Bolton team was lethargic, showing little of the energy and drive that has served them well in recent weeks. A further Fleetwood try and conversion was met with a Bolton response of another try from Gaz Flounders. Fleetwood added another try before half-time and Bolton added penalty. Fleetwood lead 17 – 15.

The second half was more of the same, with Fleetwood’s influential centre making the breaks to move Fleetwood towards the Bolton try-line. Finally they added a further unconverted try. Bolton added another penalty to their tally, but their slow start, poor tackling and a so-so performance weren’t enough. Final score Fleetwood 22 – Bolton 4th 18.
