In monsoon conditions and playing on a paddy field, this was going to be a long, tiring match. Bolton opened the scoring with an early penalty. There was much middle of the park action, with some good handling from both teams, despite the conditions. Bolton rolling replacement plan caused some problems this week as the movements caused confusion to other members of the team. Burnley took advantage and scored the only try of the game. They also added a penalty on the stroke of half-time. Half time 8 – 3
The second half was a more organised half for Bolton and as the game drew to its close the frantic defence of the Burnley team was enough to hold Bolton out for the last 10 minutes.

Yes, i know this is last years report, but this years game was much the same.
