Hopefully U14s have turned the corner and are back on the right road once more.

After a couple of disappointing away outings at Blackburn recently, and with much soul-searching by the U14s players, parents and coaches alike, the lads put on a much-improved display in their first home league game of the season against Tyldesley.
All aspects of the Bolton play were very much improved from the earlier outings against Blackburn, which were very disappointing for all concerned. The work they have done in training on rucking seems to be leading in the right direction, as many Tyldesley balls were turned over in our favour with good work by the forwards of Joseph Partington, Elliot Morgan, Jordan Ashton, Chris Kehoe, Max Lohan, Josh Holmes, Will McCambridge and Wills Brindle. Their work in the lineouts and scrums was also encouraging. The starting backs line up of Joey Gore, James Hind, Michael Latham, Danny Turner, Nat Hill, Morgan Tobias and Adam Kazmi also saw some encouraging runs and some stern defence at times. Adam Kazmi in particular had a storming match, probably his best to date which earned him the Players' Player award for his efforts.
Unfortunately, some strong runs by the Tyldesley side led to a scores on the one of which was converted. Encouragingly, the Bolton lads' heads never went down and they continued to play well against the well-drilled and sometimes very vocal Tyldesley.
The second half saw some change of personnel, with Faraaz Mohammed, Declan Smith and Tom McCormick replacing the front row, and David Warren and Patrick Gleeson coming on in the backs. Even with the changes, Bolton still continued in the same vain, and were unlucky not to score on a couple of occasions, with some searing runs from Wills Brindle, Josh Holmes, Adam Kazmi and Danny Turner. On try saving tackle by Tom McCormick is also worthy of a special mention.
All the lads should be happy with the way they played today in the face of strong and sometimes intimidating opposition. Their attitude to the game and to each other was vastly improved and we are starting to look like a team again. It was excellent to see everyone working for each other, talking and encouraging.
Coaches' player of the day trophy went to Declan Smith for doing everything that was asked of him in only his third game for the club. A bright prospect for the future we think! Parent's Player trophy was awarded to Will McCambridge for his strong tackling and loose play, and as already mentioned, the Players' player award went to Adam Kazmi for his all-round dazzling performance.
