Ex Junior Players in Lancs Under 20 match

Two ex Bolton Junior players star in 'War of Roses'battle v Yorkshire

Two ex Bolton Juniors starred in a ‘War of Roses’ clash last Sunday at Broughton Park Manchester.
Phil Mills who was Captain of the Lancashire under 20’s side played hooker and Conor McGrath was prop forward. Both pictured Conor on the left and Phil on the right.
Phil ex Thornleigh and now at Myerscough College played under coach Neil Liles at Bolton before now playing for Preston Grasshoppers and being understudy for Alan Holmes who used to be a RDO at Bolton.
Conor ex St James, Farnworth is now playing at Sedgley Park and was coached by his father Paddy and Neil at Bolton. Paddy regularly played at senior level at Bolton and then went on to coach the juniors.
Lancashire won the game 37-25 in a thrilling and bruising encounter putting them at the top of the leader board above Cheshire.
Congratulations to both Phil and Conor from Bolton Rugby Club.
Also congratulations to Tyler Corless who has been picked for the Lancs under 18’s Development squad at Blackburn on Friday the 1st March. Tyler was a product of the Bolton Junior Section and is now studying at Myerscough College.
