Bolton's Women visit Clitheroe RUFC

On an extremely miserable wet Sunday, Bolton's women travelled to Clitheroe for their first ever game!
Both teams were made up of players who are new to the game and the aim was to have lots of fun. There were amazing displays of rugby from both sides in very muddy & wet conditions! Bolton were also running uphill for the majority of the game, which tested the fitness!!
We think the score was 6 tries to 5 to Clitheroe (even the ref didn't know!) but the score wasn't important, what mattered was that everyone enjoyed themselves, weren't put off rugby and wanted to play again!
We're looking forward to Clitheroe visiting Bolton for the return fixture in the new year.

If you would like to join our women's team, training is every Monday at 7pm. Over winter the venue alternates between Bolton Rugby Club and Sharples School astro pitch. You can just turn up, no need to book.
