On Saturday 19th of April the annual Bolton RUFC v Old Boltonians match took place at Bolton Rugby Club in front of a large Easter crowd. Several players in the club side had a foot in either camp, bringing the number of Old Boltonians involved up to a healthy number.
The early exchanges led to a converted Bolton try which was matched by a well worked try for the Old Bolts.
As the game progressed the more experienced and heavier club side began to boss the set piece and dominate the exchanges.
Either side of half time the club ran in several tries to gain a comfortable lead.
The Bolts side never gave up and as the game opened up they found some gaps, mainly due to the hard running of Matthew Boyers and Andrew Hurt. As bodies tired, Ben Price switched sides and three more tries were added by the Old Bolts to bring a respectable scoreline.
