Bolton Rugby is devastated to announce that our Club Captain Les Towler sadly passed away on Friday evening and we would like to send our deepest sympathies to his family.
Les was a huge part of the club for nearly five decades. His presence on a Saturday and Sunday was unwavering, even when he was very poorly he would still be pulling the strings from behind the scenes. There is no doubt that “Uncle Les” will leave a massive void at the club and he will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him both at the club and the wider Lancashire rugby community and beyond.
We will be looking at possible tributes that we can make to help remember a true great and friend of Bolton Rugby Club.
