Dave takes on two new roles at the club

Our latest volunteer to step up and help the club will be no stranger to members of the senior section but he may need an introduction to some of our younger members and parents.
Dave O’Byrne has volunteered to take on two different roles for the club that he started playing for in the early 1990s and only hung up his boots last season.
Fun Fact….. DOB won the Mr World Bodybuilding Masters title in Miami at the ripe age of Fifty!
The first role Dave will be taking on is the Club Rugby Safe Lead which incorporates all forms of player welfare from First Aid Provision, training & minimum standards, owning the clubs Emergency Action Plan with reporting and monitoring and working with other club volunteers to ensure the welfare of our membership is paramount. Dave is looking forward to kicking off his role by organising first aid training for our coaches and first responders.

The second role is that of Club Business Manger which will see Dave overseeing all of the commercial operations of the club. Bolton has been selected by the RFU to pilot the country’s first England Rugby funded Commercial Manager who will work with Bolton and three other local clubs, Dave will be the line manager for the new post and will also look at the commercial strategy and how we get the best out of our amazing facilities going forward.
I’m sure you will all get behind Dave and thank him for his dedication and passion for Bolton Rugby.
