Bolton travelled away to Wigan, after playing Wigan in a tournment at the start of the season, Bolton knew that they was up against a well drilled, skillfull side, this showed in the 1st 10 minutes as Wigan strolled into a 5 - 2 lead. The Bolton boys then upped their game and started to play as a team with some excellent tackling and passing inspired by some strong running from Louis Ramm, Drew Armistead and Callum Purnell along with fantastic tackling from Elliot Whittle and Noah Greenwood took Bolton into a 8 - 5 half time lead. More of the same in the 2nd half helped Bolton to a great 18 - 15 win against a very good Wigan side with 6 tries for Callum Purnell, Drew Armistead 3, Louie Ramm 4, Noah Greenwood 2 and 1 each from Elliot Whittle, Finlay Rennie and Mathew Phillips. It was very hard to pick a man of the match as the whole team performed at a very high standard.
