Under 9's just lose out to strong Fleetwood side

Bolton under 9's hosted fleetwood. In a tight game with both sides evenly
matched it was clear that both sides were up for the challenge from the
start. Bolton started a little slower and conceded two early tries. We
then picked up our game a level and struck back following good support play
and some deft off loading which saw Will Trueman score in the corner.
Unfortunately a clash of heads saw Ethan leave the game, which was a shame
as his physical presence was just starting to influence up front. The
remainder of the first half was a close fought event with some high quality
rugby from both teams.

The second half started at a frantic pace and both sides trading tries, with
Tobi Ramwell crossing twice, the second being the result of fantastic
support play and handling which seemed to involve all 9 bolton players on
the pitch. Marcus Crompton continued his fine form leading the way up front
raising the bar again and dominating the forward exchanges. Fine
performances were given by our little whippets Robert, George and Jacob who
showed their fine running skills when given the space. Kynan had a top game
at scrum half showing us all his handling skills. In the centres jonathan
ran strong and straight and put in a couple of big hits on the opposition,
including a try saver in the corner. Lucas continues to improve and ran
hard and tackled hard. Guy had another good game this time showing his pace
and balance with the ball is getting better every week, with some good work
up front as a bonus. We also welcomed Matthew who played his first game
today and did not disappoint.

Fleetwood ran out eventual winners, although the majority of their tries
were scored by their big forward who was just too strong in the later part
of the game. As a summary the game was a wonderful spectacle to watch. It
was evident that the Bolton lads are now gelling into a very good unit
playing for each other. The support play and offloading was a pleasure to
see. Man of the match for today could have been given to any player,
however Will got the parent vote. Well played Will, but more importantly
well played the team. A very good performane by all.
