Nine players turned up for this opening fixture. Tyldesley started the stronger side with some good individual runs at the Bolton defence. They were soon two tries up against the Bolton side which was struggling to find any rythmn.
Forwards James Entwistle,James Preston and Matthew Moore scrummaged well with scrum half Milo Holmes providing an excellent link between forwards and backs.
Due to Tyldesley only having 7 players the away team had to rotate subs. Tyldesley scored once again to make the score 3 v 0.
Harry Jackson was re-cycling the ball well.
Alex Ramwell was playing out of his skin and making good driving runs but Bolton weren't recycling the ball as well as they can and the ball was getting tied up. They were rewarded with a try however when Alex went over to score.
The score was 3 v 1 at half time.
Bolton started the second half completely re juvenated and Zak and Josh Grundy linked well and tackled well although shorter than the Tyldesley players.Bolton started to come back into the game, Ben Turner made sterling tackles, James Preston playing at Hooker for the first time held his own. Milo scored after stretching for the line, before Tyldesley scored again. With the score at 4-2 Bolton upped their game and further tries from Alex and James Entwistle drew the game at full time.
Alex Ramwell deservedly earned the 'Player of the match' award.
