The under 7s travelled to play Leigh on Sunday and perhaps confusion trying to find the pitch led to the lapses in concentration which were the cause of a few early Leigh tries. After a quick reminder of the basics such as not passing forwards Bolton regained some shape and the lads played some good rugby. On the back of our recruitment campaign and the World Cup we were very well resourced with a bench of six players all of which got their chance to shine. After regaining control of the middle of the pitch Bolton were strengthened by new arrivals Marcus Williams and Nihal Avarind and what a difference they made spurring on Tom Brocklehurst, Robert Murray and Aran Pomian. The game was locked at 4 tries each before Nihal, in his first game, showed he must be the stunt double for Dash from the Incredibles as he scored tries galore and collected armfuls of tags. A well deserved man of the match for Nihal.
