Rossendale only had 12 players, some may think that is a disadvantage but if you know the 'rules' it certainly isn't.
A great start from Bolton, with lots of inter-passing, seeing Harry Connor score in the second minute. Josh Bentley Hughes added another with a superb break down the left. Having had no rest after the defeat to Sedgley Bolton then struggled to make headway against a fresh Rossendale team, not helped when we were disrupted by having 11 on when Rossendale had a injured player.
Half time saw Bolton put on 8 'finishers'. Rossedale scored 2 quick tries and things looked grim. Then a superb run by Fafa, raised spirits even though he was stopped just short of the line.
Jake then put in 2 jinking runs and although the 1st was stopped, the 2nd saw him score. At 8 minutes Fafa then repeated his storming run but this time touched down.
In a tense final 2 minutes Rossendale scored to make it 4-3 to Bolton. The visibly tiring Bolton just had to hold on for 45 seconds, quick substitutions were made, which was probably a good job as the whistle went 14 minutes into the 10 minute half.
