U14s' end of season laser shoot

The Under 14’s traditional end of season finale took place this morning in unusual weather conditions for the event – it wasn’t pouring it down! On the moors above Edgworth two teams made up of coaches, family members and players from the Under 14s squad (with a guest Under 13 too) fought it out for summer bragging rights.
Dressed to kill in camouflage suits complete with caps or head bands and all armed to the teeth 29 of Bolton RUFC’s best took on all that Battlefield Sports Live could throw at them in a frenzy of laser shooting, fast moving action and high drama.
Captain Andy Morgan’s team of experts came out on top, three events to one over Captain David Kirk’s spaced out warriors though there is some thought that it was Paige James’ feminine touch that brought Team Andy through the day’s trials and tribulations.
Danny Turner had the honour of setting off one of the loudest explosions to be heard in Edgworth for some time as it was his turn of the victor’s key that brought a fun event to an end. Hopefully, Danny’s ears will have stopped ringing in time for summer training in mid June.
We all hope all the Under 14’s have a great few weeks off and we hope to see them all back down over the summer preparing to build on a successful end to the 2011/12 season and make their Under 15’s year their most successful one to date.
