Bolton just edge out Leigh in thrilling semi final

Bolton u14's drew a home fixture in the semi final of the Blacksticks Blue Competition and hosted Leigh.

This was a tight fixture with both teams wanting a place in the final in April. After a tough encounter with plenty of controversy Bolton edged Leigh out by 12 points to 10.

Bolton scored first through Morgan Skeels-Caldwell after good work by Dan Southworth. Ben Turner converted the try.

Leigh came back in the second half with two tries by their quick centre M Pye playing at 13. Fortunately neither try was converted.

Bolton sealed the game after Zak Grundy went over the whitewash to make the final result 12-10 to Bolton.

A fiercely contested game by the two teams but Bolton now go through to the final on the 13th April ironically being played at Leigh.
